Winner Announcement for Suggest a Slogan for New India Literacy Programme
Education is the driving force for the development of any nation. Every literate citizen is an asset to the country. Even in the 21st century, with the advent of digital technology in every field of life, India still has a significant portion of its population that remains illiterate. To provide education to citizens aged 15 years and above who were left behind, the Government of India launched The New India Literacy Programme (NILP) or Nav Bharat Saksharta Karyakram, which will run from 2022 to 2027, with the goal of making India fully literate.
The Ministry of Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, and MyGov invite citizens to participate in the “Suggest a Slogan for the New India Literacy Programme” contest that will motivate learners and volunteers to benefit from the scheme. This contest was open to all citizens of India and was live from January 7, 2023, to January 22, 2023.
The slogan competition received an enthusiastic response, attracting a total of 3,465 entries on the MyGov platform. After careful consideration, the following three entries were selected as prize winners:
