Winner Announcement – Innovation Challenge Award, SoCH (Solutions for Community Health)
BIRAC launched an Innovation Challenge Award, SoCH, i.e., Solutions for Community Health. Innovative ideas from individual entrepreneurs, academia and companies were sought under two themes, Platform technologies for reducing disease burden (Communicable & Non-Communicable Diseases) and Sanitation & Waste Recycling. These themes aimed at developing viable solutions to address challenges in the Community Health Sector.
BIRAC on its 6th Foundation Day announced 10 Preliminary Winners of Innovation Challenge Award, SoCH. The winners received award from Hon’ble Minister, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. These winners were selected after competing in Hackathons and Ideathons for their respective themes. The award includes a sum of INR 15 lakhs, mentorship opportunity at one of BIRAC’s incubators to come back in 6 months with a Minimal Viable Prototype (MVP) for their proposed product/ technology.
