Winner Announcement of Essay Writing Competition on the theme Plastic Hataao, Paryawaran Bachaao
The Directorate of Publications Division of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), Government of India announced an Essay competition as part of Hindi Pakhwada celebrations from 8th September 2021 to 14th September 2021. With the theme Plastic Hataao, Paryawaran Bachaao, short essays (500 words) in Hindi were invited. The aim was to engage with and encourage people to know about the adverse impacts of single use plastic, and any kind of plastic in general. Plastic pollution has become a crucial environmental challenge confronting the entire world. It is, thus, imperative that we reduce its usage, and awareness is the key to make this a people’s movement.
The Publications Division received numerous entries. All the valid entries received were evaluated by a duly constituted jury who after much deliberations recommended the winners as follows:

The winners will be awarded with cash prizes as well as digital certificates issued by the Directorate of Publications Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The winning entries will be featured in Publication Division’s esteemed children’s magazine Bal Bharti and the same may be subscribed at www.publicationsdivision.nic.in.
