Winner Announcement of Online Essay Writing Competition
The Department of Commerce, Government of India hosted an Online Essay Writing Competition on MyGov as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in August 2021.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.
The Department invited undergraduate and postgraduate students to participate in the online essay writing competition on any one of the following topics:
- Azadi & Export Promotion
- Reducing Import Dependence – Atmanirbharta Ki Aur
The contest was live on MyGov for two weeks i.e. from August 27, 2021 to September 10, 2021.
The Department received an overwhelming number of entries from the online contest. All the valid entries were evaluated by a duly constituted jury who, after much deliberation, recommended the winners as follows:

The top 5 regional entries received a Certificate and will receive a cash reward of Rs. 5,000 from Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
