Winner Announcement of Poster Making Contest for Road Safety – Preventing the loss of lives

March 17, 2021

Every year, more than 1.50 lakhs people lose their lives in our country in road accidents and many more are debilitated. There is a need for the society at large to take cognizance of the issue and to join hands to make road safety a social movement. To give all the stakeholders an opportunity to take part in concerted action for the cause, National Road Safety Month was observed from 18th January 2021 to 17th February 2021. The theme of this year was, “Sadak Suraksha- Jeevan Raksha”.

A Poster Making Competition was organized under the Umbrella of National Road Safety Month 2021 by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Indian Road Safety Campaign (IRSC).

It has been scientifically proven that posters and visuals have the ability to expand knowledge, change attitudes and alter behaviours. To take full advantage of this creative expression the poster making competition was launched. The contest received an overwhelming response from the participants. 3464 minds involved themselves in the challenge. Three individuals bagged the top three awards and another two received the consolation prize.
