Winner Announcement of Slogan Writing Competition on Speak Up for Road Safety
Every year, more than 1.50 lakhs people lose their lives in our country in road accidents and many more are debilitated. There is a need for the society at large to take cognizance of the issue and to join hands to make road safety a social movement. To give all the stakeholders an opportunity to take part in concerted action for the cause, National Road Safety Month was observed from 18th January 2021 to 17th February 2021. The theme of this year was, “Sadak Suraksha- Jeevan Raksha”.
A Slogan Writing Competition was organized under the Umbrella of National Road Safety Month 2021 by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Indian Road Safety Campaign (IRSC).
How do you sum up an important message in three or four words? That is where slogans come into play. Road safety is an important topic that needs a lot of attention. Road safety slogans are imperative to remind individuals to adhere to traffic rules. Like other Contests, slogan writing also received a massive response of about 5840 individuals, determined to educate common people about the importance of road safety.
The top 3 participants were awarded with a cash reward. The overall event was informative as well as enlightening at the same time.
