It is very important to organize our efforts to protect the climate and environment. We will be able to give a safe environment to our coming generations only when every citizen of the country makes a united effort to maintain the balance of water, air and land. It was the wish of our forefathers and they have left behind a very important message for us. What was the expectation of our ancestors from us? पृथ्वीः पूः उर्वी भव  i.e., May the whole earth, the whole environment be most advantageous for all of us and give an opportunity to our dreams.

                                   – Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi in his speech on World Environment Day 2021

India has emerged as a ray of hope in the global efforts to tackle the menace of climate change and has made its mark as a trusted partner for the welfare of mankind. As we are emerging as the leader of climate justice it should be our pledge to save our environment for the coming generations.

It has been scientifically proven that paintings and visuals have the ability to expand knowledge, change attitudes and alter behaviours. Following the same, to enthuse the school students at large, National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) organized an Online Painting contest based on the theme ‘Go Digital, Go Paperless, Save Trees’ to commemorate ‘World Environment Day 2021’ on June 5, 2021, on the MyGov Platform.

4007 Submissions were received on the contest from all over India. The valid entries received, were evaluated by a duly constituted Jury, who after much deliberations recommended the Top 5 Entries, which are as follows: –
