Comments Received on TRAI’s Consultation Paper on Compensation to the Consumers in the Event of Dropped Calls

On 04.09.2015, TRAI issued a Consultation Paper on compensation to the consumers in the event of dropped calls for comments of stakeholders. The last date for sending comments on the issues raised in the Consultation Paper was 21.09.2015. Apart from the comments received from “mygov”, TRAI has also received comments from various stakeholders directly. All these comments have been posted at: http://trai.gov.in/Content/Consultation_ViewCommentDescription/10749_0_ViewCommentDescription.aspx for your counter comments before 28.09.2015 to Smt. Vinod Kotwal, Advisor (F&EA), TRAI.

    Not feasible , when even in US it is not feasible . The markets will take care of the carriers and reject those who have large number of call drops .

    We normally encounter such dropped calls and blank calls, while talking. All these are charges to the consumers.

    It would be better to compensate the consumer in case of such instances.

    I visited my village recently. It appears that Govt has not yet connected itself with farmers and has not yet started focussing on their problems. Due to price rise of eatables and fertilizers formers are losing their hope with Central Govt. I request the connected Department to do the needful at the earliest to win the heart of farmers. Comments of farmers on Govt performance is upsetting the supporters.

    Good afternoon government take of our people we all suffered number of problem let’s come to under corporates profit oriented programme net neutrality meaning were change new innovation ideas why government take of internet I think small profited to government take step of the suffered now call barring now suffered internet future now, TRAI autonomous cancel new organisation of favour of corporates begging people asking corporates ascent in biggest is bigger poorest is poorer like context.

    Can we please record and publish per telecom vendor some metrics regarding call drops? Today, players like airtel are befooling people into believing that they have the best service with 4G etc. But fact is that people switch in seeing such adds. And then suffer call drops. These metrics will help them in taking informed decision.

    ट्राई से अनुरोध है वो एक मोबाइल एप्प बनाये जो यूजर के कॉल को चेक करें की कॉल यूज़र ने कट की है या वो नेटवर्क स्ट्रेंथ कम होने की वजह से अपने आप डिसकनेक्ट हुईं है।

    How to start discussion in area of my interest and I don’t see anything..Under law and justice,there is serious need to prioritize cases of criminal nature,economic crimes ,other heinous crime against country and society .Why can’t we prioritize judgements in high impact crimes using fast track courts .This is very much needed…Second ,under consumer protection and prevention of corruption category, I seriously request automation in government departments, property registration etc

    Please try to provide good network and don’t Dropped calls. We don’t need compensation. We need better service from telecom companies at better rates..!Apart from call drops the operators must also compensate for poor coverage for eg 3G subscriber ..i hardly get 3G coverage not more than 5-10% ..why should consumer be charged for a 3G rates when coverage is not even a proper 2G !! Consumer is cheated, you are requested to solve the issue..

We don’t need compensation. We need better service from telecom companies at better rates..!
