Diu Smart City – Draft Upgraded SCP
Under FAST TRACT ROUND of Smart City Mission, Diu Municipal Council has started initiative to collect suggestions of citizen of their need by engaging college students up to 25/3/2016.
Thereafter, consultant has upgraded the Smart City proposal of Diu City by getting citizen priority, Mentor Institution guidelines and filling gaps of observation of MOUD. The upgraded proposal has been broadly modified in the Area base proposal and PAN city proposal covering all priority sector. The presentation of Draft upgraded Smart City plan has been presented before “Diu Smart City Forum” headed by District collector, President and Chief Officer, DMC-Diu on 05/04/2016 at 11:00 hours onwards in the Conference Hall of Collectorate, Diu for review and further suggestions for improvement in upgraded SCP.
Thereafter Presentation of Draft upgraded Smart City proposal of Diu city has also been presented before the General Body meeting of Diu Municipal Council headed by President, DMC-Diu, on 05/04/2016 at 4:30 pm onwards, where in proposal has been discussed in detail sector wise and approved under the council with certain suggestion of modification for further process of SCP as per MOUD guideline.
Further Draft upgraded Smart City proposal of Diu city has been presented before the High Powered Steering Committee of U.T. Administration of Daman & Diu, Chaired by Hon’ble Administrator, U.T. of Daman & Diu And DNH, at Conference hall of Secretariat, Moti Daman on 11/04/2016 at 10:30 am onwards, where in proposal has been discussed in detail sector wise and approved under the HPSC for submitting to MOUD as per the Smart Cities Mission guidelines.
The consultant has derived financial projection of the Upgraded Smart City Proposal considering revenue generation plan and shares from UT Grants and MOUD, which is worked out as under:
Total Project Cost : Rs. 498.41 crores
Total Project Cost under Convergence : Rs. 148.26 crores
Total Project Cost under SCP : Rs. 350.15 crores
