Ideas Workshop – Smart Ideas for Smart Doon
Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) had organized an “Ideas Workshop – Smart City – Dehradun”, on Friday, 11th March’2016 in continuation to the smart city Vision Workshop for Dehradun that was organised on 4th March 2016.
The smart city vision workshop for Dehradun had the government dignitaries, industry experts as well as the residents of Dehardun from all walks of life who deliberated with the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) and worked together to identify the areas that needs to be developed in Dehardun.
Thus, MDDA had organized the ideas workshop along with all the industry members and experts to understand the ways to address the challenges identified during the vision workshop in a sustainable and economic way. The workshop was aims to generate fresh ideas and solutions for the crucial components of urban infrastructure such as Solid Waste Management System, Transport Solutions, Sanitation Solutions, Road Infrastructure and other important factors for Dehradun by bringing in the experts from Industry and Government and showcasing the best practices of the same.
Industry leaders and other urban infrastructure specialists had evinced their interest to participate in the workshop. The workshop had technical sessions where experts from Energasia Power, Hitachi India Pvt Ltd, DRDOFICCIATAC Programme, Essel Infrastructure, Urban Mass Transit Company Ltd and KPIT Technologies had presented the possible solutions to address the challenges identified for Dehradun.
The citizens also participated in the Idea workshop from different age groups and shared their Ideas to make Dehradun a Smart City in Smart ways. The group discussion held during the workshop with industry experts to find out the important issues and solutions on the same.

Doon must be smart city. Gov. have to consider it.
I just wanna say that there is no need for Dehradun to become another Gurgaon. Doon is unique, preserve it and dont make it a concrete jungle. Let us make it a green city.
