For this the State wise tourist booklet should be available for free to Tourist online and in Tourist information centers. Book should contain festival name, description, history, and number of attendee in last few years, pictures and etc.

Sriram Warrier: It was in 2013 in middle of the scorching summer heat (in the month of May),I got a news from my school that some students were going to Himachal Pradesh for trekking. The trekking was having aduration of 10 days and was conducted by ATAL BIHARI INSTITUTE OF MOUNTAINEERING, DHARAMSALA. I gave my name to participate in this program. Its because it will be a change to stay away from the hot season as I live in Kerala. And also a great chance to explore the north.

I am a tourism professional and working last 11 years in the industry. I did my Ph.D in this field. My ideas are as follows –
Need to introduce a District Tourism Officer in every district for the benefit tourist as well as build infrastructure, law and order
The District Tourism Officers should have MBA (Tourism) or similar qualifications those who understand modern day tourism from theoritical as well as industrial aspects
It is one of the most important sector which can change rural India

The soul of India is its culture. The ASI is although working for the preservation and conservation of the various archaeological monuments but it is neglecting the preservation of those sites which are located in the mountainous regions of country. Moreover, outside India, there are certain sites that belong to Indian history like the grave of brave Rajput king and last hindu king of Delhi- Prithviraj Chauhan. His grave is disgraced by Afghani locals which is an insult to Indian heritage.

In order to make domestic tourism attractive, make the LTA non-taxable every year. The entire amount of LTA should be made non-taxable and not just the return train, bus or air fare. Further, the taxation on tourism i.e. hotels, tour operators etc should be brought down which will encourage people to travel to places within India. It costs much less to travel abroad on a holiday as compared to within India. This is mainly due to huge taxes levied which needs to be reviewed.

Concept of smart cities has been very much appreciated by all Indian citizens but every Indian will feel happy when smart cities are built.
Implementation of the same is very important and instead of routing funds through State Govt., Central monitoring agency must be established. Each smart city must be headed by CEO (having good credentials) with some staff.
CEO must be held responsible for developing smart cities and all govt. departments would honor the instructions of CEO. All bills/orde

LTC for Govt. employees should be made an yearly affair instead of once in four years. The money given to an employee as LTC comes back to Govt. In fact more than the amount given off as LTC comes back to Govt. LTC merely covers the to and fro fare but a tourist that visits a place not only spends on transportation also on local travelling, lodging, food and purchases also. This way the tourists spots will get more business meaning more revenue collection by the Govt. and more local jobs.
