Smart City Indore Launches Citizen Consultation Campaign

INDORE: Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on Saturday launched a social media campaign to invite suggestions from residents on smart city project.

At Hotel Fortune landmark in a graceful program Mayor along with Commissioner Sanjay Dube, Collecter P Narhari, IMC Commissioner Manish Singh, MLA Usha Thakur, Sudarshan Gupta, Mahendra hardia , IDA Chairmen Shankar Laalwani participeted in this event.

Mayor Malini Gaud inaugurated a Facebook page, Twitter handle (@IndoreSmartCity) and a website (www.smartcityindore.org), inviting suggestions from people on city planning, water and sanitation, transport, facilities for pedestrians, social infrastructure and safety and security.

She said smart city project will lead to a clean and healthy development of Indore. “We aim to be chosen in the first round of Smart Cities Mission in 2016,” said Gaud, adding, “We are seeking citizen’s engagement with a focus on seeking your responses on innovative solution for improved livability and governance to meet your aspirations.”

Along with heritage of Indore, we are committed to cohesive development of our city, she said.

IMC commissioner Manish Singh gave details of plans under smart city project and said efforts will be made to improve facilities of water supply, sewerage plants, elderly homes and green belts.

    Implement must be honest, responsibility must be defined, time limit strictly followed and officials should not be changed up to end
