Suggestions for Amravati Smart City
Amravati Municipal Corporation has been selected for the Smart City Challenge and we would like to invite all the citizens to give us your input in making Amaravati a Smart City.
The idea of a smart city is focused on giving a better standard of living to all its citizens. This covers a wide range of services such as water, mobility, sanitation and solid waste, sewerage, e services, etc. Which of these services do you think needs to be developed the most in Amaravati City which can be enhanced via the Smart City Challenge which will help better the life of each and every citizen of the city. Also, which area within Amaravati Municipal Corporation should be chosen for Area Development where different smart services can be included to make the area a model area with respect to Smart development? If you were to select between the following locations, which area would you choose for Area Development? Please give us a rationale for your selection as well.

Amravati city needs below improvements as soon as possible-
1.Plastic, severe and e-waste management and recycling
2.Safe Public transport within city (if you aware of the deaths happened on Badnera, Walgaon and Gadge Nagar Roads in recent years)
3.Promote cycling by giving safe separate cycle lane on each roads
4.High literacy rate in Amravati so implement Kiosk for various services at public places such as for bus tickets, train tickets, Electric bills, Municipal taxes, water bills, teleph

The underground drainage should be planned well in the same manner how britishers have planned in India when they colonised here.

As a citizen of Amravati. we are luck and fortunate. I think there must be provision for government warehouses, that place at four direction of city. and there must be meditation houses, for good mental health and peace of mind for youngesters.
To improve the city & build a public relation there must be a smart public places like public park with proper maintenance and some basic facilities. this will help to make a smart amravati city.

1. Underground drainage.
2. covering of large drainage track (nulla) to create parking space /cycle track / jogging track / road.
3. Education of police and administrative officer for better managment of traffic.
4. Rail over bridges for fast transportation.
5. Widning of roads.
6. CCTV and Wi-Fi
7. Airport development.
8. Parking buildings.
9. Multiplex theaters and shopping areas.
10. Smart education system.

To make amravati smart existing public transport system should be improved. Green amravati, cycle track for students , advanced parking should be implemented in city.
City should be free from debris, slum,unautorised construtions, hawkers,pollution. provide free y-fi everywhere. minimise the no of mobile towers. increase the sport &cultural activities. street dogs problem should be solved.to be increased & preserved.
Better public transportation services in Amravati, or any city for that matter, should be one of the topmost priorities. A city is never as smart as you would like to be without ease of transportation. With rising number of vehicles and risig pollution, better public transport services will help Amravati sustain is green.
