Massive Job Creation

  • Employment rose from 47.5 crore (2017–18) → 64.33 crore (2023–24), a net addition of 16.83 crore jobs.
  • Unemployment rate dropped from 6% → 3.2%, youth unemployment from 17.8% → 10.2%.
  • Average wages for casual laborers rose from ₹294 → ₹433/day; regular salaried workers from ₹16,538 → ₹21,103/month.

Women Empowerment

  • 1.56 crore women joined the formal workforce.
  • Female LFPR: 23.3% → 41.7%, WPR: 22% → 40.3%.
  • Schemes like Mission Shakti, Lakhpati Didi, Namo Drone Didi and women-focused EPFO programs are fostering financial independence, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

Formalisation & Social Security

  • 7.73 crore EPFO net subscribers since 2017; 21 lakh added in July 2025 alone.
  • Self-employment rose from 52.2% → 58.4%, casual labor fell from 24.9% → 19.8%, showing a shift towards sustainable, entrepreneurial work.
