Cabinet gave in-principle approval to regularize the services of PTA,PAT, and PARA teachers

State Cabinet in its meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur Ji gave in-principle approval to regularize the services of PTA, PAT, and PARA teachers

This will benefit about 6500 PTA, 3300 PAT and 97 PARA teachers engaged in various government schools.

Draft Scheme approved for Interest Subvention on Working Capital Loan for Hospitality Industry

It gave its nod for approval of the draft Scheme for Interest Subvention on Working Capital Loan for Hospitality Industry to revive the tourism industry in the State which has been adversely affected due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Under the Scheme tourism units in the State paying GST up to Rs. one crore would be entitled for a maximum loan of Rs. 50 lakh for tourism units paying GST above Rs. one crore and upto Rs. three crore for at least one year ending 31st March 2020 would be entitled for loan upto Rs. 75 lakh. Units above Rs. three crore would be eligible for loan of Rs. one crore

Small registered tourism units would also be eligible for maximum loan of Rs. 15 lakh. This loan period would be for four years with interest subvention of 50 percent each for the first two years.

Support price for Apple and Mango enhanced from 8 to 8.50 Per Kg:

The Cabinet gave its approval to enhance support price of apple under Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) by 50 paise from Rs. 8 to Rs. 8.50 per kg for the year 2020.Under this scheme about 1.50 lakh MT apple would be procured from 20th July to 15th November, 2020 for which 283 procurement centres would be opened in different parts of the State as per the demands of apple growers.

It also accorded its consent to procure seedling mango, achari mango and grafted mango at the rate of Rs. 8.50 per kg under the MIS which will be operative from 1st July to 31st August, 2020. Cabinet also gave its approval to provide support price of Rs. 7.50 per kg for ‘B’ grade Kinnow, Malta and orange and Rs. 7 per kg for ‘C’ grade kinnow, malta and orange.

Cultivation of aromatic plants to be encouraged

The Cabinet gave its approval to guidelines for providing assistance for the promotion of cultivation of aromatic plants and their processing under the new Scheme ‘Mehak’ launched by the State Government to double the income of the farmers cultivating the aromatic plantsIt gave its consent to fill up 500 posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT) on contract basis in the Education Department through Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur.

42 posts will be created in the State Human rights commission

The Cabinet gave its approval to create and fill up 42 posts of different categories in the Himachal Pradesh State Human Rights CommissionIt also accorded its consent to create one post of Convener-cum-Advisor to Himachal Pradesh Nasha Niwaran Board under Excise and Taxation Department to tackle and overcome the menace of drug trafficking and drug abuse in the State.

The Cabinet decided to create and fill up four posts of different categories in the newly created office of Prosecution Department attached with Additional District and Session Judge Court at Sarkaghat in Mandi district for its smooth functioning.

Tenders for supply of essential commodities in tribal areas extended on the same rates:

Cabinet decided to give an extension for present tenders for the supply of food grains and essential commodities for the tribal and inaccessible areas of the State for the year 2020-21 on existing rates and on same terms and conditions to facilitate the people.

keeping in view the fact that these areas remain cut off for a period of 4 to 7 months due to heavy snowfall in the winter season.

Primary Health care center for Lech in Chamba and posts to be created :

The Cabinet gave its approval to open Primary Health Centre at Gram Panchayat Lech in district Chamba along-with the creation of three posts of different categories to man this Centre.cabinet also decided to create and fill up two posts of Perfusionist in the Department of CTVS in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda to provide better heart care facilities to the people of the area.

Letter of intent approved for a winery and distillery in Mandi and Una Distt.

It gave its approval to create and fill up five posts of different categories in newly opened Sub Division of Public Works Department at Dera Baba Rudru (Basal) in district Una for the proper functioning of the Sub Division
Award amount for War Jagir enhanced, Govt. school will be upgraded in Solan Distt.it decided to enhance the award amount of War Jagir from existing Rs. 5000 to Rs. 7000 per annum to the families of war veterans.

Cabinet gave its approval to upgrade Government Middle School Bhud and Government High School Rampur in Solan district to Government High School and Government Senior Secondary School respectively along with creation and filling up of 10 posts of different categoriesIt also decided to open Primary School at Kelua in Haroli Vidhan Sabha area of Una district to facilitate the children of the area.

The Cabinet also gave its approval for guidelines for installation of the permanent structure of Bamboo or Steel for Anti-Hail Nets under ‘Krishi Utpaad Sarankshan (Anti Hail Net) Yojna, (KUSHY) for the year 2020-21

Government rationalises subsidy to electricity consumers

The state government has decided to rationalize the subsidy provided to the electricity consumers in the State
The government provides subsidy of approximately Rs. 450 crores every year of which only 18 percent goes to 11 lakh consumers consuming electricity less than 125 units per month while the rest goes to 9 lakh consumers with consumption more than 125 units per month In order to rationalize the subsidy pattern across the consumers, the government has ensured that consumers with low consumption have little or no impact at all in their monthly bills
subsidy pattern for 11 lakh consumers consuming less than 125 units per month has not been altered at all.
